BME 3.1a 68K - is an image processor for editing bitmapped pictures. It's not a paint program so it doesn't have a lot of painting tools. It's meant for cleaning up scanned photos, converting pictures to different formats, and adding some effects to images.
The best image processor for Macintosh is Adobe Photoshop, an excellent program we use here at SoftLogik for most of our image processing. We didn't create BME to be a Photoshop-killer. It was originally created as an in-house test program but it evolved into a useful program. BME will be bundled with our upcoming PageStream for Macintosh desktop publishing package. Because we're new to many Mac users, we decided to give away BME free as a promotion. If you don't own PhotoShop and can't afford to buy it, BME is a great image processor for the cost of downloading it.
